If you choose the southeastern route over Mount Párnon from Leonídhi then it is well worth making the effort to visit the Byzantine antiquities at Yeráki . With its Frankish castle and fifteen chapels spread over a spur of the mountain, Yeráki stands a creditable third to the sites of Mystra and Monemvasiá.
