CORFU (KÉRKYRA)
There are 4 or 5 daily flights between Corfu and Athens (1hr), and 3 weekly except Sun to Thessaloníki (1hr). Several ferries (Port Authority tel 06610/32 655) per hour (5.15am-10pm) run between Corfu and Igoumenítsa (1hr 15min) in high season. Also 6 daily between Igoumenítsa and Lefkími (40min). Additionally, many ferries between Italy (Brindisi, Bari, Ancona and Venice) and Pátra stop at Corfu; stopover is free if specified in advance and there is no problem buying Corfu-Pátra tickets. Although there is only a twice-weekly ferry to Paxí, there are up to 5 hydrofoils daily in season, either direct (1hr) or via Igoumenítsa (1hr 30min). The twice-weekly (Wed & Sat) tour hydrofoil does sometimes take one-way passengers to Kefalloniá. Buses to Athens via the Igoumenítsa ferry depart 3 or 4 times daily, twice daily to Thessaloníki.
ERÍKOUSSA, MATHRÁKI AND OTHONÍ
A car ferry , the Alexandros II , runs from Kérkyra Town to all the islands 3 times weekly (Tues & Thurs 7.30am; Sun 9am) and to Othoní only on Sat (4pm). The ferry leaves from near the BP station on the seafront, midway between the Old and New Ports, although it involves sailing halfway round the island. Quicker access, favoured by islanders without vehicles, is via daily excursions from Sidhári or Áyios Stéfanos run by Nearchos Seacruises (tel 06630/95 248).
ITHÁKI (ITHACA)
Seasonal ferries from Fríkes to: Fiskárdho (Kefalloniá; 1 daily; 1hr); Nydhrí (Lefkádha; 1 daily; 1hr 45min). Pisaetós to: Sámi (Kefalloniá; 3 daily; 45min). Váthy to: Astakós (1 daily; 2hr 30min); Pátra (2 daily; 5hr); Sámi (Kefalloniá; 2 daily; 1hr). Off-season, there is 1 daily service on each route, weather permitting - check with Port Authority (tel 06740/32 909).
KEFALLONIÁ
1-2 daily flights to and from Athens (1hr).
Ferries in season from Sámi to: Astakós (1 daily; 4hr); Pátra (4 daily;1hr 40min-2hr 30min); Pisaetós (Itháki; 3 daily; 45min); Vathy, (Itháki; 2 daily; 1hr). Also ferries from Póros to Kyllíni (3 daily; 1hr 15min). Fiskárdho to: Fríkes (Itháki; 1 daily; 1hr); Nydhrí (Lefkádha; 1 daily; 2hr 45min); Vassilikí (Lefkádha; 3 daily; 1hr 15min). Argostóli to: Kyllíni (2 daily; 2hr 30min); Lixoúri (every 30min; 20min). Pessádha to: Áyios Nikólaos (Zákynthos; 2 daily; 1hr 30min). Most routes maintain 1 daily service in winter - check with Port Authorities (Argostóli tel 06710/22 224; Sámi tel 06740/22 031; Póros tel 06740/72 460). The twice-weekly tour hydrofoils from Sámi to Corfu will usually take one-way passengers. 5 daily buses from Argostóli to Athens (6-7hr). 1 daily from Lixoúri, Póros and Sámi.
LEFKÁDHA
5 buses daily to and from Athens (6-7hr), and 5 buses daily to the Áktio ferry (30min) for Préveza, passing Áktio airport (25min). 7 ferries daily in season from Nydhrí to Meganíssi; daily connections (several in summer and 1 all year) from Nydhrí or Vassilikí to Kefalloniá (Fiskárdho) and Itháki (Fríkes). The weekly cruise boat Ikaros will take one-way passengers to Párga or Paxí.
PAXÍ
Ferry connections to Paxí (Port Authority tel 06620/32 259) have stabilized in the last couple of years. To Corfu, there is a twice-weekly service throughout the year, plus up to 5 hydrofoils daily. There are 1-3 daily ferries to/from Igoumenítsa. In summer 2 kaďkia connect daily with Párga.
ZÁKYNTHOS
Zákynthos Town to: Kyllíni (5 daily all year, up to 8 in season; 1hr 30min). Áyios Nikoláos to: Pessádha (Kefalloniá; 2 daily May-Sept; 1hr 30min).
Buses from Zákynthos Town to Athens (3-8 daily, according to season; 6hr).
Flight (on Olympic) from Zákynthos Town to Athens (1-2 daily; 1hr).
