Although
connected
by dirt
road
with
Spóa,
much the
easiest
(and
usual)
way to
get to
northern
Kárpathos
is by
sea.
Inter-island
ferries
call at
Dhiafáni
two or
three
times a
week in
season,
or there
are the
above-cited
smaller
tour
kaïkia
from
Pigádhia
daily.
The
journey
time on
the
smaller
boats is
about
ninety
minutes,
with
boats
met at
Dhiafáni
by buses
for the
eight-kilometre
transfer
up to
the
traditional
village
of
Ólymbos,
the main
attraction
in this
part of
the
island
